NOJA Power NewsIssue 8 Latest 27kV Recloser Design Packed With FeaturesNOJA Power's OSM27 is the result of years of medium voltage recloser development. Suitable for system voltages up to 27kV, the recloser is now being installed around the world both as line reclosers on poles and as circuit breakers inside substation switchyards. The OSM27 is similar in design and appearance to the OSM15 200. They both use the same light agate grey powder coated compact stainless steel tank design featuring arc venting. The same integrated bushing connectors are used on both making it extremely easy to install. The light weight at 85kg makes it suitable for many pole designs. Externally the bushings have been redesigned to provide the appropriate clearances and creepage distances required for 27kV. Internally both the vacuum interrupters and the solid dielectric insulation have been uprated as well. So although the OSM27 appears similar to the OSM15, in actual fact it has significant differences in regard to the core component specifications. The OSM27 shares the advanced protection and SCADA functionality found in all NOJA Power reclosers. Configuration software is supplied to end users which greatly simplifies the setup process. The combination of functionality, ease of configuration and installation makes the OSM27 an ideal choice for use on distribution networks up to 27kV. |
