OSM27 Installed In Substation By NOJA Power Installation Team
NOJA Power's installation team recently completed replacing a 27 year old recloser with a new OSM27 in a small substation. The old device had developed a fault in the controller and was not repairable. The customer chose NOJA Power to install the OSM27 on their behalf. .
NOJA Power provided a complete service to the customer including training, removal and disposal of the old equipment, installation of the new OSM, protection analysis and design, programming, SCADA system integration and a complete clean up of the site when finished. In addition the job had to be finished within a set time to ensure supply was re-connected on time.
The new recloser was installed onto a substation mounting frame supplied by NOJA Power. The 22kV connections were made using insulated cable tails and bird guards to provide a fully insulated termination. Surge arrestors were also supplied and fitted to the recloser using the integrated mounting points.
The end result was a trouble free installation that went smoothly and finished on time. NOJA Power have a wide range of experience with recloser installations and ensured critical elements such as earthing and terminations were done correctly to provide a trouble-free lifetime.
